countdown: 24 days from monday tmr.
this blog seems to become a source of hope and messages of comfort for everyone, rather than permitted strictly to flc members for friday meetings. well. i dont think that's a bad idea to be honest =) hope we all can use this blog to help one another, de-stress one another, keep everyone laughing till their cheeks go bonkers, so on..
lets persist aye.
hope we can joke even when the wintry depression has befallen and nicked the victory outta us, that we can outshine in times of hurt now. cos theres no reason why we shouldnt stand up for what we know capable of.
the time now would not be the same as the first term, nor the 2nd, nor the first half of our third one. prelim fever will relinquish your hopes into fears. just keep the torch of faith alit yea. gotta last thru this final one together.

Revival
Sigh, we ( the whole class) - every single one of us has come quite a long way from our infant state. So quickly did 4 years of studying in VS pass by, it's almost as if it slipped by unnoticed. Reality only sinks in when we realize we don't have much time left, if 4 years could just sneak by our grasp what's the mere 26 days left to our prelim 2? The all important exam that determines our future, be it bleak or bright. Everyone is starting to rear up the engines, some already all fired up and tension is running high ( at least in me).
Just think about it, everything that lies ahead in your very life falls into this tiny exam. Perhaps when 10 years, 20 years have passed, we will still remember this particular event... just visualizing the collection of results next year leaves my heart racing. Will it be a joyous event or one filled with sorrow and teardrops. Sometimes fate might pull a fast one on you, destroy your hopes in one fell swoop, regardless of how much effort you put in. Of course I hope it happens to none of us, but if it really does, how many of us have the courage to pick ourselves and continue? I have to admit I'm really not sure about myself, which is sometimes why I dare not hope, I dare not dream or even set a goal for myself. But those reading this blog, set a goal, set a vision to achieve and use that as a source of motivation. At least if everything tumbles and doesn't go your way, you can tell yourself that you did your best...
Mr Lim said that blogs are for little lonely people who have no friends and this is the only way to express themselves but I beg to differ. This blog, for example, is proof for our close bond and friendship. A blog that is open for all our FLC members to post, though most of them really don't exercise this right. The bond between all the 4c people is special, none excluded =).

Teacher's day celebration
Lalalaaaa this blog has been kicked into a hollow grave and filled with mud. We stand here reciting our eulogy for this pathetic dump where no one posts in except the saddest, loneliest piece of scum.
To start the eulogy, I would have to talk about teacher's day celebration as a final farewell. Considering that most of our FLC members are now in the Enhanced Study Programme, also known as ESP for short. Not to say anything offending about it but personally i feel that it is a ESPecially waste of time =D. Joking joking the school is doing its best to help you guys so appreciate it.
Anyway from what i heard, the class of 4c is performing for teacher's day and there's gonna be singing and dancing and all that stuff. All that sounds pretty good to me hahaha ( maybe i'll get to sing I don't want to miss a thing or You're the inspiration! =D ) Anyway all this is still in the process of planning so let's not get our hopes up. I myself think this idea is pretty good, it's our final year in Victoria and the least we could do is show our appreciation for the teachers and all the hard work they have put in throughout the 4 years.
Damn, i'm starting to sound more and more preachy by the post. Zzzz. The photos for the Aston FLC meeting for the FOURTH time are up, check them out. Good bye

Contemplation
For a while i've been thinking on my life... my story... what impact have i made on this world.
I realized so suddenly that one should treasure whatever one has and be content. How lucky I am compared to others suffering in the world.
Similarly we should always believe that we reap what we sow, let's take our O levels for example, we have to work in order to achieve our desired results. If we strive to do our best, and we work our hearts out, even if we DON'T get what we want we will not have any regrets. I don't want any of people in 4c to cry during the release of results, including me. I admit i haven't been working hard but I'm going to start now and I hope that those who haven't also start. I once heard a line from Andrew, he told me " Joel can definitely get into VJC, it's whether he wants to do it or not."
Even though this line was said so casually, it made a great impact on me, somehow i felt inspired to work hard. Sometimes a simple line of encouragement can mean alot to the person receiving it. So if you have read this, go tell someone that he or she can do it, it's whether he or she wants to strive for his or her goal.
I might sound a little preachy and naggy but this is how i really feel. I know sometimes i can be like a giant bastard and go around suaning people but I don't really mean it. I still like you guys alot haha. Anyway, we should always try our best to help one another, to encourage instead of beating each other gone. Cast away all negative impressions and let bygones be bygones. Start to accept those you dislike, and help them change. I'll try to do it and i hope that you people reading this would follow suit.
O well, that's all i wanted to say in this post. It might not sound like me but that's how i feel now. This is not a "Dear Kelly" or "Dear aunt anne" post but just what I've been thinking of. Good bye =D

Verily Verily i say unto you...
I shall attempt to speak in parables this time...
A steak is not really food but actually a piece of flesh from a cow.
Medium well has alot of blood, but rare has alot more blood.
There is no end to life only an end to death.
The tip of a gun can be used to kill or knock out a person.
Fear is a double edged sword.
Cool eh i made that all up. You guys have to think about what it really means...
Anyway, the FLC ppl went to aston's... again! The spirits of the club were high and we all went crazy and ordered fish... except me of course... i'm a carnivore rah!
It was apparent that Si Cheng was on a diet as he hid himself away at a corner slowly sipping his Hot Chocolate... is it as hot as me? Probably not. But I spotted him gnawing on the cup... i guess i'm gonna have to pay for that too.
Anyway the pics aren't up yet but they will be in a few days. Good bye and good night and good day and good me.

vc giv thanks
tho it may be 2days aft vc, i still wanna give some thanks for the vc.. 4C07 did dam well this year =)
thanks loads for the hardships and stress you peeps faced, or else we would never have finished the vc in time. i believe this years challenge was one of a kind for our class, 4C did own shit with the final product.. haha rmb the time when we stepped into the parade square with the final piece? that was one prime moment of class history..
the helping hands, the profoundly complex brainstorming skills you guys had to acquire for piecing everything up, was just purely remarkable.
we were pretty much at loss at around 1.30am in the morning, when heng seemed to be panicking real hard and the rest all getting dam tired. It was then that Mr Hazrin called us to take a break. it was bleak man then.
But more astoundingly was that we managed to pick ourselves up from our weaknesses and go back into fast-paced pasting agn. the alternating of turns was so natural, and cooperative, such that all the time someone was at work at least.. that surely required dam much of class unity and devotion to have it rollin haha.
Morning photos were great too, no fussing over poorly taken photos, everyone managed to capture enough pictures before lunch period. besides several exclusive photos (wth leg hair LOL), things still went really well. though the afternoon was pretty much slack for all of us, we mustnt forget the effort of Heng Renan and Mr Hazrin, who ventured off into a long and weary journey for developing the photos.
i hope the vc has helped yall to get to know one another better, bond us closer as a class. its a paramount event of our class time since last years 3C bbq, and i just wanna thank you all for making this time for us so blessed and wonderful! =)

The Victorian Challenge, how to keep awake for 24 hours
Today we zoom in on a spectacular event also known as the Victorian Challenge! This event is only held ONCE in every FOUR years, wow it's like the Olympics or even the World Cup.... it's that bad! Haha just kidding. It was pretty fun but really really tiring. Like you would just lie down on the floor and BAM you're asleep and snoring and disturbing the rest you inconsiderate fool.
Anyway the day started out rather well, we were all enthusiastic and hyped up about the Victorian Challenge. We shouted our lungs out during the ceremony, but the ironic thing is that we were told to do so... so yeah it sounded pretty insincere hahaha. Why would someone rehearse when to clap and when to shout and when the cheer for a ceremony. If it was really that great we would do it naturally anyway. But that's rather minor so let's get it out of the way.
To begin, i was paired up with si cheng to take a bunch of pictures with my digital camera. The pictures were supposed to be 75% yellow which meant that yellow was supposed to be the dominant colour in the photo. We did see some interesting yellow dominant pictures in a magazine but decided to skip over them :D.
While pictures were being taken, grids were being drawn. Draw draw draw until 12 o clock then most of us go eat lunch =P. I was in the night shift so I went to catch a movie with my friends. Hairy Potty and the Order of the Pe***.
On a side note, Harry Potter is really an overhyped movie that is a must watch for fans only. I didn't find it particularly interesting or climatic and I honestly feel that the book is better as it allows room for imagination. But I have to admit a movie is always good to have a certain feel of the setting and the appearances of the characters itself. Though the effects were very well done in this movie, the plotline just falls through a plothole (ok lame pun) but still they cut off ALOT of things and even editted some info.
I returned at night and well, progress was slow once we reached the school crest. It was really puzzling and sometimes even frustrating to figure out which piece fits best. Furthermore, only a few people could work at a time because we were pasting the pieces ONE by ONE. There was supposed to be some group cycle thing but apparently that flew out the window =D. Anyway I did some pasting and figuring out but then when it came to 12 plus my brain was dissolved in to a pile of mindless goo.
I ate alot on that day.
And "You're the inspiration" played on the radio at around 3!!
:D
At 6 in the morning I really cannot tahan already then go take taxi go home sleep...sleep...sleep... till 1 plus, when I was rudely awakened by my lit teacher Miss Jennifer Koh zzz.
Oh well it's time to go off to prepare my presentation of the product for tomorrow. I'm the overall IC for the presentation yay.... NOT

Back to back posting action
Hi all, i know i haven't been posting for awhile because the president is a giant slacker that doesn't like to update the blog. But of course there are other members who have the power to post so i CAN probably slack off without anybody noticing.
Well we've went out quite a couple of times this week and i have to admit i'm pretty exhausted from all the STUDYING and traveling =D. Anyway, we went to watch Transformers ( ROBOTS IN DISGUISE!) on wednesday at marina square. It was pretty noisy and uh... action packed. The storyline was really shallow though so it was more like a giant robot slugfest... What a great outing... Si cheng should have been there but he decided to fufill his CCA commitments.... you ah.... do too much sports will go crazy ah...
I did a funny quiz at my other friend's blog and it seemed pretty interesting. Like how my friend is pretty ugly... lol jking. Anyway the rules are simple so feel free to try it out and post your results right here!
RULES:
1. Put your music player on shuffle.
2. Press forward for each question.
3. Use the song title as the answer to the question even if it doesnt make sense. NO CHEATING!
4. Tag 5 ppl at their tagboard to ask them to do this!
5. Bold the questions and with the answers, give your own comments on how it relates to the questions.
1.How are you feeling today?
Inversion... yes i'm feeling pretty inverted it's like the world's gone crazy
2.Will you get far in life?
Just the girl... ok so it probably means that i'll get alot of girls in life =D
3.Will you get married?
Om Mani Padme Hm... some weird song which probably means yes you will get married to a very beautiful lady.
4.What is your best friend's theme song?
Notes.../Prima Donna... He must be a real mugger
5.What is the story of your life?
Cruel Angel Thesis... Yes i agree that angels can be pretty cruel... like me!
6. What was primary school like?
Requiem... yeah right my primary school life was far from that.
7. How can you get ahead in life?
Circle of the moon... it means that i'll go one full circle in life and live to an old age.
8. What is the best thing about your friends?
I was born to love you... Aww thanks, i'm so touched.
9. What is in store for this weekend?
Shine... uh... i think whatever is in store
10. What song describes you?
Epic Battle - Prelude... my life is an epic battle between good and evil!
11.How is your life going?

12. What song will they play at your funeral?
The Phantom of the Opera... Well this makes some sense
13. How does the world see you?
Harry and Grace make peace... they must see me as a very peaceful person
14. What do your friends really think of you?
x4open... open to other people opinions =D
15. Do people secretly lust after you?
Gaze from hell... How appropriate... so many girls trying to seduce me ya know =D
16. How can I make myself happy?
Nightmare... obviously i enjoy having nightmares
17. Will you ever have children?

4C VICTORIA CHALLENGE 2007
-----------------------------
IN GENERAL:
aim to create and decorate a banner of 30m with the imprints of the entire class's bodies on it by the use of water soluble acryllic paint.
our sole purpose of this banner is to tell everyone (since deemed as worst class of the cohort) thatwe are just as well expressive and any other individual, and we all carry distiguished characteristics (as seen from the different poses on the banner). We are all unique in ourselves. But looking at this banner, seeing how all of us have our silhouettes imprinted together, arms criss-cross, tells us another thing too. We don't have to be divided to be different. And we all share the same good ol spirit of brotherhood.
We will hang the banner, suspended between the two bridges. (to be confirmed)
STEPS FOR INDIVIDUAL:
1. Outline of body by using a simple permanent black marker
2. Splashing of acryllic paint on the edges of person whilst lying down
3. Embolding of black outline using black acryllic paint
